Elisabeth is protecting her family from torture. But who will protect mums like her?

When Elisabeth found out that her father in law was part of a cult and that her three children were in danger of being tortured and killed, and after having been raped and beaten multiple times as a teenager – including by a policeman when she went to ask for help – she fled her home country in Africa, taking her children with her.

They found safety in the UK, but even after leaving torture thousands of miles behind them, Elisabeth and her children were still forced to deal with the trauma of their past.

At their lowest moment, thanks to kind supporters like you, they were able to benefit from our family therapy. But every day, many other families need our help too.

Will you help a family like Elisabeth’s heal from the trauma that torture leaves behind?
