Will you send someone who's been tortured the only present they'll get all year?

This year Freedom from Torture has supported torture survivors from over 56 countries to rebuild their lives in the UK. But Christmas can be a frightening and lonely time of year for torture survivors. Donate now and you could help send hope and strength.

By giving a present of a Christmas Care Box, you can show people who have been tortured that they’re welcome – that the worst is behind them and they are safe here in the UK, among friends like you.

It doesn’t take much to show someone they’re not forgotten. Little things like a warm hat and gloves, chocolates or biscuits aren’t just gifts – they’re a sign that somebody cares.

These gifts are practical too. For asylum seekers living on a few pounds a week, warm winter clothing can simply cost too much. And for many of the survivors we work with, your gift will be the only present they receive this year.

Once Christmas care packages have been bought for all the people we help, any additional donations will help provide ongoing care and support for survivors of torture.
